Factors and Procedures Used in Admissions

Full-time program
Applicants for the full-time MBA program are evaluated on academic and professional achievements and potential. We consider undergraduate(graduate) performance, GMAT, GRE, TOEFL scores, full-time work experience, essays, recommendations, and interviews (for invited candidates).
Executive program
The Ross Executive MBA Program targets candidates with 10+ years of full-time work experience and 5+ years in a management role. A candidate’s experience is the most important criteria: achievements, progression, level of responsibility. Candidates should also possess demonstrated academic ability. Those whose quantitative and analytic skills are not evident may be required to take an assessment.
Part-time program
Candidates of the Ross Part-time MBA program are evaluated on managerial and leadership potential as reflected in each applicant’s record of professional accomplishment, academic achievement, and GMAT score. Candidates are also assessed on recommendations and personal essays. An interview is an essential component of the evaluation process and is conducted by invitation only.
